Pashmina Developers to Build Homes for the Underprivileged
~Pashmina Developers (promoters of Pashmina Waterfront Project in Bangalore) becomes the first real estate developer to build homes for under-privileged in Karnataka.~
Bangalore, 13th October, 2012: The customers and the employees of Pashmina Developers, one
of the leading developers in the country participated in the ‘Build event’ named ‘Humanaire’ organized by Pashmina Developers in collaboration with ‘Habitat For Humanity’ an international acclaimed NGO, to build homes for the underprivileged today at Hegde Nagar. Through this program Pashmina Developers will be donating a house to an underprivileged person in Karnataka, for every apartment sold in their project Pashmina Waterfront on Old Madras Road. Pashmina envisages donating over 1400 homes in the next 3 years in various parts of Karnataka.
Further to the donation of the first batch of 100 houses, with Pashmina’s support, Habitat for Humanity will serve 100 families requiring new houses in Bangalore urban and semi-urban areas between July 2012 and June 2013. The areas covered will include Siddhapura, Hegde Nagar, Hennur, Geddalahalli, Horamavu, Lingarajapuram, Ullalu, Seegahalli, Koramangala, Kothur and BTM Layout.
In past Pashmina Developers along with Habitat for Humanity has already served 300 families in Gujarat and 1100 families in Maharastra. Pashmina Developers plans to develop 7000 such houses across India in the coming years. Over the years, Pashmina Developers have made a deep-seated mark in the corporate world. The company is developing projects close to 5.5 million sq. ft. in Mumbai and Bangalore. They have also obtained a township project with a development potential of about 1.7 million sq. ft. in Pune.
Present at the occasion Mr. M. S. Jai Ganesh, Vice President-Marketing & Sales and Mrs. Sneh Koticha Contractor (Spokesperson CSR Initiative) – Pashmina Developers said “We have joined hands with ‘Habitat for Humanity’ to build homes for the underprivileged. It is our responsibility to reach out to large sections of the society who lack shelter. This program is just a small step in the same course. We will be providing financial support for Habitat to execute the program. We sincerely urge the fellow Real Estate Developers to join hands to provide shelter for all”.
Adding to this Mr. Joseph Mathai, Director, Habitat for Humanity said “We are happy with the kind of support we are receiving towards this cause from Pashmina Developers. With such initiatives we will continue rehabilitate and provide shelter for the needy and underprivileged in all possible ways”
